Antenova
www.antenova.comAntenova Limited develops and supplies High Dielectric Antenna (HDA™) technology and integrated radio antenna products. It provides antennas that are smaller, higher in efficiency and offer more robust performance for mobile handsets, PC cards and laptop applications. Antenova’s integrated RF antenna solutions enable rapid product development, from the R&D stage through to manufacturing and quality control. Antenova’s products are suitable for an extensive range of applications, including GSM and CDMA, 3G, GPS, 802.11 a/b/g and Bluetooth markets.
The technology concepts behind Antenova stem from the research collaboration of Sheffield University, UK and of Griffith University, Brisbane, Australia. In June 1999, Sheffield University approached Pilgrim Beart, former CEO of activeRF for funding to support a PhD programme on antenna design. Pilgrim Beart became very interested in the technology and saw considerable commercial potential. After conducting some commercial and technical due-diligence to establish uniqueness, it was decided to form a separate company to exploit the intellectual property and Antenova was formed in the same month
