Origgio

www.pre.vu

A design and marketing company Origgio Ltd was set up by founding directors Morag Hutcheon, Phil Gray and Timothy Laing in 2001 to incubate pre.vu, a listening device built into the spine of a standard CD jewel case.

Prerecorded air time can be used for samples to capture the browsing customer's attention. Sample each track, a message from the artist, a sponsor's message, promotion of a back catalogue among a host of other possibilities.

After proof of principle prototypes were made and trailed, Origgio raised £1.8 million to fund the extensive development programme and bring pre-vu to market.
