ip.access ltd manufactures picocellular GSM, GPRS and EDGE infrastructure solutions, which integrate with standard broadband IP networks for backhaul.

The nanoGSM® product range allows mobile network operators to provide low-cost coverage and capacity for offices, shops and residential buildings; giving users improved service quality and enabling pure cellular fixed-mobile convergence. ip.access picocells can also provide coverage on passenger aircraft, ships and in remote rural areas using satellite backhaul.

ip.access counts Scottish Equity Partners, Intel Capital, Rothschild Gestion, and TTP Communications (TTC.L) amongst its shareholders.

It was founded in 1999 as a spin-out from TTPCom.

Tony has been involved in software and IP generating businesses in the electronic engineering sector since 1976. He has a PhD in Control Theory from Imperial College, University of London and a BSc in Automatic Control and Systems Engineering with Management Sciences from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology. Tony has over twenty years experience of building and managing research and development teams within the wireless communications area. He was one of the founders of the TTPCom business in 1988 and was its head until its incorporation in 1998, since when he has been Managing Director. He has been responsible for developing the culture, the vision for the business, and the wide range of partnerships that have formed the basis of our growth since the early nineties
