Staff
David Hall joined HFL in 2001 as Chief Executive. Graduating as a scientist, he worked for a range of instrument companies, holding senior scientific management positions at Cambridge Instruments Ltd and Vacuum Generators Ltd. David moved on to hold management positions in a number of manufacturing companies, including Manufacturing Director of ICS plc and Managing Director of Keltek Ltd. David founded the Thames Gateway Technology Centre in London and joined HFL to expand its commercial activities. | Steve is Head of Research and a Director of HFL Ltd. Formerly Site Head of World-wide Bioanalysis at GlaxoSmithKline, Steve joined HFL in 2002 with 12 years experience of drug development within pharmaceutical R&D. Steve gained his PhD in mass spectrometry at University College Cardiff and went on to do post-doctoral research on atmospheric pressure ionisation techniques with the National research Council of Canada. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry and has published extensively in the fields of bioanalysis, mass spectrometry and the automation of sample preparation techniques. |
Phil Teale joined HFL in 1979, initially specialising in mass spectrometry. Phil is currently responsible for HFL's Research and Development activities and coordinating long term research programs with the Jockey Club, Government Agencies etc. Phil held previous positions at IRI and has published in excess of fifty papers, predominantly related to the application of drug/metabolite detection and identification in biological fluids. | David Griffiths joined HFL in January 2005 as Business Development Director. David was previously Head of Business Development at LCG Bioscience where he played a pivotal role in creating one of Europe's premier providers of early phase clinical development services for an international client base. With a BSc in Applied Biology and a PhD in Drug Metabolism, David's scientific background includes R&D positions at Shell, Pfizer and a biotechnology and diagnostic healthcare group, where he moved into a commercial role and completed a part-time executive MBA degree. |
