Michael has held senior technology, sales, marketing and general management posts in Europe, America, the Pacific Rim and South Africa. He took Brightware, a US-owned start-up, from zero to $8 million in two years and went on to complete the successful turnaround of an ailing Cambridge technology company. He has also worked for Durham University Business School, Leeds University, Plessey, Shell International and Inference. Mike has a strong technology background, with an M.Sc. in computer science and an early career in software research. | Ben is responsible for ensuring that all Envisional\'s customer projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest standards of quality. After developing an interest in artificial intelligence while gaining a First in Computer Science at Cambridge University, Ben worked at Autonomy with a talented outside consultant, Chris Swannack. He left Autonomy and joined up with Chris in 1999 to form Envisional and exploit the potential of their unique ideas. An expert on the commercial applications of AI, Ben has published one of the most accessible books on the subject, Artificial Intelligence Illuminated. |
Chris is the driving force behind most of the technical innovations the software team has produced over the last six years. It is his responsibility to imagine and investigate new uses and new markets for Envisional\'s present and future technologies. Chris gained a First in Engineering Science at Oxford, studying neural network analysis of brain waves for his final year project. He then worked on neural network image recognition and text retrieval for Cambridge Neurodynamics and on projects including kidney machine software and Bluetooth stack development for Cambridge Consultants before founding Envisional. The embodiment of Chris and Ben\'s expertise in the uniquely powerful and adaptable Discovery Engine represents Envisional\'s core technology. | Bill has start-to-finish responsibility for turning the Envisional team\'s ideas and technologies into high-quality deliverable product packages, within the constraints of time and budgets. Bill was a highly successful Director of Engineering at Qualcomm subsidiary Trigenix (formerly 3GLab) and has vast practical experience of running ambitious projects to tight deadlines in senior positions with blueAid, Tality and Nortel. |
