Formed in 1996, CDP is owned and managed by its principal engineers. They see their role as innovator and business partner aligned with our clients' interests, even investing in their equity when appropriate.
In addition to their contract product development business, CDP have spun out new companies - such as Astron Clinica - to commercialise intellectual property derived from University research and launched innovative products into niche markets.

 Mike Beadman BSc MIEE CEng, Founder and DirectorElectronics Engineer. Mike is a professional engineer specialising in electronics who has won several awards for engineering continuing through his career. He has been responsible for over 100 patents and was a founder of Cambridge Design Partnership. Mike has consulted for a large number of international organisations including Nokia, Esselte NV, GEC, Mission Electronics and Aesculap AG. Mike has been involved in several successful start-ups and has a keen interest in developing new business approaches to realise their potential efficiently. |  Mike Cane MA MEng MDesRCA MIMechE CEng, Founder and DirectorMechanical Engineer. Mike is an award-winning professional engineer and designer with over 20 years experience in new product development. He is named as inventor on over 100 patent applications worldwide. Mike has created products for large, international organisations such as GEC, Black & Decker and Mattel as well as many smaller companies in specialist fields.  Matt Schumann MA AMIMechE, Founder and DirectorMechanical Engineer. Matt is a free-thinking mechanical engineer with over 15 years experience of creating inspired new products for large organisations including Bosch, Bayer, Becton Dickinson, Ingersoll Rand and Lego as well as many smaller start-ups. Working across many fields including consumer products and ink jet printing, he has built up an extensive knowledge of production processes, and now specialises in high volume health care products. |
