Its ExcelMAX, AB-MAX, and AB-Access fixed wireless broadband platforms bridge the last mile, with a point-to-multipoint solution that replaces the local loop for large corporate clients, small businesses, and other organizations.
Its new AB-Full Access system allows first leap high-capacity, point-to-point wireless transmission, across terrain impediments, for customers who want to bypass wired networks or have no wired options. Distances may be, for example, 15, 20, or 30 miles.
In November 2001, Axxcelera, a subsidiary of US-based Moseley, purchased the fixed broadband wireless product line of Adaptive Broadband, a pioneering provider of fixed broadband wireless solutions. Since this time, Axxcelera has improved AB-Access by extending link distances by more than 40%, and introducing a point-to-point variant. Furthermore, Axxcelera has introduced the cost efficient AB-Full Access point-to-point product for applications involving high-throughput over long distances.
Additionally, Axxcelera has emerged as a leader in the development of WiMAX base stations and CPEs through the AB-Max (5GHz) and ExcelMAX (3.5GHz) product families.
Staff
Philip Rushton is the General Manager of Axxcelera's facility in the UK. Prior to this he was the General Manager of Adaptive Broadband Ltd and Group Product Director of Telspec Plc. He has also held senior engineering management positions working on switching and access network products. During his career in telecommunications he has been responsible for a wide range of high volume products in the access network from both a technical and commercial perspective. Philip received his Bachelor of Science degree in Electronic Engineering from Queen Mary College, the University of London. He is a Chartered Engineer and member of the Institute of Electrical Engineers. |
