The Company has a strong medicinal chemistry platform, including specific expertise on proprietary pharmacogenic bicyclic scaffolds with signficant patent coverage.
Amura is currently enagaged in two main pre-clinical programs involving cathepsin K and cathepsin S inhibitors, with an interest in osteoporosis, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, chronic and neuropathic pain, multiple sclerosis, psoriasis, metastatic cancer and malaria indications.
It also has a broad spectrum antibiotic, AM-112, directed to b-lactamase inhibition. This has patent coverage to 2021+ and is effective against both Gram +ve and Gram -ve infections. Outlicensing partners are currently being sought.
