Datanomic revenues triple in 2007 on the back of 50 new customers

Data quality specialists Datanomic Ltd said they had a year of record growth and commercial momentum. Fuelled by demand for its data platform and solutions, revenue grew by more than 300% over the past 12 months and the firm secured over 50 new customers in the financial services, telecoms and retail markets.

The company said it is continuing to expand its partner network, securing strategic partnerships that offer solutions for compliance, risk management and business critical applications. This has spearheaded Datanomic activities into new “vertical markets” as well as new countries.

The privately held Cambridge-based company did not disclose the quantum of revenue.

CEO Jonathan Pell (pictured) said: “Our dn:Director platform and associated data quality solutions have become the de-facto standard of choice for numerous blue chip organisations, and we continue to gain industry recognition from analysts, partners and press.

“Managing data quality is an ongoing challenge, and companies have woken up to the fact that they must treat their data as a strategic resource and a valuable asset, as well as complying with stringent ‘Know Your Customer’ legislation.

“Datanomic has become synonymous with first class data quality solutions for companies that are serious about protecting their data assets and managing risk. We look forward to another year of customer growth, commercial expansion and successful partnerships.”

Datanomic created two new lines of business, focusing on Sanctions and PEP (Politically Exposed Person) screening, and on Data Quality and Integration.

The company’s new strategic Client Screening Division was created to address the ‘Know Your Customer’ data challenges faced by customers. Following a recent partnership with global provider of structured risk intelligence, World-Check, the new screening practice was established to negate the business pain points and address the regulatory risks associated with data screening, and provides an accurate and automated foundation for mitigating risk when screening client records.

Datanomic’s new Data Quality and Integration Division enables customers and partners to minimize the risk of their data migration projects failing or overrunning due to data issues.
