Autonomy to beat 1Q09 revenue forecasts; signs licence deal with T-Mobile

Autonomy Corporation plc, a global leader in infrastructure software for the enterprise, said it expects to report record 1Q2009 results, with revenues ahead of consensus estimates.

Revenues are expected to be between $128m and $130m, as against analyst consensus revenue estimates of $126m, the Cambridge-HQed firm said.

CEO Mike Lynch said: "We are very pleased with these results, which we've achieved in a quarter during which we announced and completed a major acquisition and seen significant economic uncertainty around the globe.

"The Autonomy business outperformed estimates and the Interwoven business operated for the stub period as expected".

The Groups also said it has entered into a significant license agreement with T-Mobile to license Autonomy's Intelligent Data Operating Layer for customer interaction operations.

T-Mobile is one of the largest mobile companies in the world. With over 17 million customers, T-Mobile is the UK network of T-Mobile International, a major branch of Deutsche Telekom AG whose subsidiaries and affiliated companies serve over 86 million mobile customers worldwide. T-Mobile International operates mobile companies in the US, Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, Czech Republic and Poland.
